Spott is definitely an Android app from Inochi Ventures that allows you to learn more about your selected films and TV which was made within your individual backyard. Using your phone's GPS system, Spott allows users to either browse by movie/show or their location to understand interesting info about that movie, show, or actors.
For example, Stapleton International Airport (now Denver IA) was manchester international in the movie "Die Hard 2" with Bruce Willis. Up until recently, I had no idea how the hotel inside the movie "Dumb and Dumber" were the Stanley Hotel, that has been also the inspiration and setting for Stephen King's popular book and movie, "The Shining".
Along with giving users the opportunity to see their town in the whole new way, you can also purchase movies over the app, plus you'll be able to send in your own personal photo from the famous locale in your neighborhood.
The interface for Spott is easy to manuever around - it is possible to choose movies or shows by title, location, or movies which might be near you. Obviously the nearby feature is the best, particularly when you're traveling or recently moved. As noted, movie locations near my new capital of scotland - Denver and also the state of Colorado are pretty popular.

There is also downsides, such as actor listings, which are meh at best, however, this is where the Spotters thing is available in. Too bad this app didn't come out before I moved.
As a movie and TV fan who happens to love trivia, this is a pretty good app to have should you've got an Android phone. Definitely the highlight with this app is to view a wide variety of locations of film scenes, though I think most people will be thinking about where their hometown or current town factors in a variety of movies and shows.
A disappointment offers some areas are lacking, which may be annoying for users who know a certain movie or show was filmed of their neck from the woods. But to counter this, users can supply images and upload the crooks to Spott. This is actually an incredible social interaction that gets fans involved while they proudly show off their cities and states.
I think a huge let down may be the fact that this app isn't free; with only a small amount of information, this really should be a free app that gets upgraded to cover more expenses (like a chance to buy and download movies). Luckily, the cost isn't too hefty -- only a dollar and several change, so it might actually be well worth the purchase only if to hope Inochi builds up the app with fan interaction and loyalty.
